Antonis A. Antoniou holds a degree from the Department of Economics at the University of Macedonia, a DEA in Economic History from the University of Paris I - Sorbonne, a DEA in Sociology of Labor from the University of Paris VII - Jussieu, and a Ph.D. in Economic History from the University of Paris I - Sorbonne with a dissertation titled "Les depenses publiques en Grece 1833-1939." He has conducted extensive research in archives and libraries both in Greece and abroad. His publications include "Wedding Customs of the Karagounides of Western Thessaly: The Example of the Mataragkas Community," 1991, "Public Expenditures (1833-1939)" in the series Studies in Modern Greek Economic History, forthcoming from the Historical Archive of the National Bank and KEPE, and "Notarial Acts of the Notary Peace Judge of Karditsa, Sophocles Oitaiokarydou (1881-1882): Summaries - Indexes," forthcoming from the General State Archives. His articles have been published in reputable journals such as "Historika," "Spoudai," "Archive of Economic History," and in the proceedings of International and Panhellenic Scientific Conferences.
