Leykios Zafeiriou

Leukios Zafeiriou was born in November 1948 in Larnaca. He studied philology at the University of Athens. In recent years, he has been teaching at the Evening Gymnasium of Nicosia. He has published the poetry collections "Poems" (1975, 1977), "Almost Medizing" (1977), "Transcription" (1978), "The Mixed-Race Angel" (1980), the prose work "The Gangsters" (1983), and the study "Modern Cypriot Literature: A Literary Sketch" (1991). He edited the "Anthology of Contemporary Cypriot Poetry" (Athens 1985). His poems, texts, and literary studies have been published in numerous magazines, collective editions, and conference proceedings. He participated in the publication of the literary magazine "Simeio" (Nicosia 1992-1999), as well as in the publication of the literary magazines "Akti" and "Ylandron".
