Michalis Stratakis
Michalis Emm. Stratakis was born in Heraklion, Crete, in 1951. He studied law, economics, and journalism. He has been actively involved in journalism since 1973. He has worked as a political editor, commentator, and columnist for newspapers in Thessaloniki and Athens, as well as an editorial director. Since the inception of free radio and television, he has been working in the Electronic Media as a news and information director, while also producing and presenting daily radio and television programs. In the field of education, he has been active since 1979 as a professor at private journalism schools and vocational training institutes, and since 2003 as a professor at the Police Academy. He is a member of the Honor and Ethics Council of the Union of Daily Newspaper Journalists of Macedonia-Thrace and a member of the International Federation of Journalists. He has published numerous books on journalism and politics, some of which are taught at higher education institutions. For his contributions, he has been honored by foreign governments and various ecclesiastical, scientific, and social organizations.
