Zefi Kolia

Zefi Kolia was born in Piraeus and raised in Nikaia. She has contributed articles to a variety of political, ecological, and literary magazines. Her first novel was published by Kedros Publishers in 2000, and since then, she has published four novels and a book for children and young adults titled "Pop Café, the Hangout of Strange Creatures." She has translated a collection of short stories by E. A. Poe, titled "The Black Cat and Other Stories," for Oxy Publications. Her short stories have been published in literary collections, newspapers, magazines, and websites. Her most recent book is the biographical novel "Laura, the Last of the Marx Family," which explores the life and double suicide of the couple Laura Marx and Paul Lafargue (published by Metaichmio). From 1989 to 1991, she worked in the Hellenic Parliament with the Ecologist Greens party and is one of the founding members of the ecological movement in Greece. She lives and works in Athens.
