
Maria Papadopoulou
Maria Papadopoulou was born in 1965 in Veria. She completed her secondary education in Alexandria, Imathia, and high school in Thessaloniki. From 1983 to 1987, she attended the Department of Mathematics at the University of Crete in Heraklion. In 1988, she moved to Germany, where she took courses in the Department of Literature and Linguistics at the University of Bochum. She became involved with the literary group "Die Zone," with which she published the magazine of the same name. After the group disbanded in 1992, she worked for a British multinational company and returned to Greece in 2000. Since then, she has been living and working in Thessaloniki. "The Lies That Fell on the Head" is her first children's book.
