Loukia Athanasaki

Loukia Athanasaki is a Professor of Classical Philology in the Department of Philology at the University of Crete and served as Dean of the School of Philosophy from 2014 to 2018. She has authored numerous studies, as well as the book "είδετο παν τέμενος: οι χορικές παραστάσεις και το κοινό τους στην αρχαϊκή και πρώιμη κλασική περίοδο" (Heraklion 2009). Additionally, she has co-edited the collective volumes "Apolline Politics and Poetics" (with Richard P. Martin and John F. Miller, Athens 2009), "Archaic and Classical Choral Song" (with Ewen Bowie, Berlin 2011), and "Private Life and Public Discourse in Greek Antiquity and the Enlightenment" (with Tasos Nikolaidis and Dimos Spatharas, Heraklion 2014).
