Loti Petrovits - Androutsopoulou

Born in 1937, she studied in Athens. She has been honored with seven awards in national literary competitions, the Pier Paolo Vergerio commendation from the University of Padova, and the Ouranis Award for children's literature from the Academy of Athens. Her works have been translated into English and Japanese, broadcast by ERT and PIK, and included in anthologies and foreign readers. She has represented Greece at eight international children's literature conferences abroad and has given numerous lectures and talks on children's literature throughout Greece. She is a founding member of the Children's Literature Study and Research Club "The Routes" and a member of the National Society of Greek Writers, the Circle of the Greek Children's Book (General Secretary 1984-1990), and other literary associations.
