Sophie Kinsella

Sophie Kinsella was born in 1969 in London. She studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at New College, Oxford University. She has worked as a teacher and journalist specializing in economic issues. Her first novel, which she wrote at the age of 24 and published under her real name, Madeleine Wickham, was embraced by readers and critics and made it to the bestseller list. Her books have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold millions of copies. Among them is the famous "Shopaholic" series, which has been adapted into a film. The novel "The Undomestic Goddess" was nominated for the British Book Award in 2006, while "Can You Keep a Secret?" and "Remember Me?" are also being adapted into films. The author was named "Woman of the Year 2009" by the readers of Glamour magazine in America. Sophie Kinsella lives in London with her husband and their three children.
