
Tilemachos Kotsias
Tilemachos Kotsias was born in 1951 in the village of Vrysera in Dropolis, Northern Epirus. As a high school student in Argyrókastro, he was distinguished for his aptitude in literature. While studying at the Higher Agricultural Institute, he was persecuted for political reasons. With the regime change, he began publishing again in the Literary People's Tribune, a publication of the Greek Minority in Albania. He has been living in Athens since 1990 and works as a translator for the translation service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is a member of the Union of Greek Writers. Kotsias has published short stories in newspapers and magazines and has released collections of short stories, novellas, and novels. His novel "On the Opposite Bank" was nominated for the State Literature Prize, the Diavazo magazine award, and the (De)kata magazine award. He has translated numerous Albanian works into Greek and vice versa.
