Takis Mayrotas
Takis Mavrotas was born in Athens in 1959. He graduated from Panteion University, Department of Social Sciences, where he completed his doctoral dissertation on "The Body of Love and Death in Modern Greek Painting." He worked in the office of Professor G. P. Savvidis and, after 1988, at the Pierides Cultural Foundation, as well as at the Lambrakis Press Organization as an art editor. He is the Director of the Visual Arts Program at the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation. He has served as the director of the Pierides Foundation and as a board member of the National Gallery, the Hellenic Festival, the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, the National Sponsorship Committee of the Ministry of Culture, and the Association of Greek Art Critics (A.I.CA.).
