
Jo Soares
Zó Soares was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1938. A comedy writer, humorist, and playwright, he is currently one of Brazil's most beloved and renowned literary figures. Following a highly successful career in television, theater, and film, he transitioned into journalism and literature in recent years, achieving immense success. He has authored works such as:

- O Astronauta sem regime (Astronaut Without a Diet)
- O humor nos tempos de Color (Humor in the Time of Color)
- O homem que matou Getulio Vargas (The Man Who Killed Getulio Vargas).
His book "A Samba for Sherlock Holmes" (O Xango de Baker Street) achieved great success both in Brazil and internationally. It has been translated into nearly every language and became one of the century's major bestsellers.
