
Maria Stasinopoulou
Maria Stasinopoulou was born in Kalamata in 1945. She studied history and archaeology at the University of Athens. She worked as a philologist in secondary education. Her work focuses on the study and critique of modern Greek literature. Her writings are regularly published in daily, periodical, and electronic media in Greece and Cyprus ("Efimerida ton Syntakton", "Entefktirio", diastixo.gr, etc.). She has published: "Chronology-Work Biography of George Seferis" (Metaichmio, 2000, 2002), "Behind the Lines" (Pages of Criticism, University Studio Press, 2005), and the prose books "Madam, Do You Remember Me?" (narratives, Kichli, 2010) and "Low Vegetation: Shrubs, Herbs, and Bonsai" (prose writings, Kichli, 2018). She has also edited, among others, the three-volume edition of "Common Word" by Elli Papadimitriou (Ermis, 2003) and the second volume of "The Correspondence of George and Maro Seferis" (Ikaros, 2005).
