Alexandra Samouil

Alexandra Samouil was born in 1962 in Athens. She studied French and Modern Greek Philology. She is an associate professor in the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Cyprus. She has published three books, as well as studies and articles in journals and collective volumes on topics of comparative and modern Greek literature. Her book "Palamas and the Crisis of Verse" was awarded the Christos and Eleni Xanthopoulou-Palama Prize by the Academy of Athens.
