Vasilis S. Kolonas

Vasilis Kolonas was born in Thessaloniki, where he completed his studies at the Department of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He continued his studies in the fields of Monument Conservation, Art History, and Museology in Paris, where he also worked at the French Academy of Architecture. Since 1992, he holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has participated in scientific conferences in Greece and abroad, and his studies have been published in Greek and international books and journals. His main focus is the study and research of 19th and 20th-century architectural history in Greece and the countries of the eastern Mediterranean. He has taught in the postgraduate seminar of the Department of Art History - Modern History at the University of Crete (2000-2002, 2005) and since 2002, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Thessaly.
