
Brian Jacques
Brian Jacques was born in 1939 in Liverpool, where he grew up. At the age of 15, he embarked on a ship and traveled around the world before returning to his homeland. He pursued a career in folk singing and received numerous positive reviews for his work as a playwright for the productions staged at the Everyman Theatre. For many years, he has hosted a highly popular radio show on BBC Radio. Today, he is known worldwide as an award-winning author. His epic novels about the inhabitants of Redwall have sold over 2 million copies globally. His first book, "Redwall," was published in 1986 and was followed by fifteen other titles that swept literary awards, as well as books featuring maps, quizzes, and games related to the Redwall heroes. "Redwall," published by Psichogios Editions, has been honored with the Lancashire Libraries Children’s Book of the Year award and the Western Australian Young Readers award, and it was also nominated for the Carnegie Medal. "Mossflower" has also been honored with the Western Australian Young Readers award and was nominated for the Carnegie Medal.
