Michalis Papanikolaou

Michalis Papanikolaou was born in Pyrgos. He left medical school in his third year to study theater and film, where he subsequently worked as an assistant until he directed his first film. He has directed for theater, cinema, television, and radio. He has written a few plays (all commissioned and performed), short stories for magazines, song lyrics, scripts, and has published five poetry collections, some of which have been translated into English. He is a founding member of theater groups and theaters. He has taught theater and film in schools (drama schools). Despite many challenges, he continues to work and refuses to retire.
