Kyriakos N. Souliotis

Kyriakos Souliotis is an Assistant Professor of Health Policy at the University of the Peloponnese (Corinth). He also teaches courses related to health policy and economics and health services management at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Medical School of the University of Crete, and the National School of Public Health. He has served as a Scientific Advisor to the Administration of IKA (2000-2001) and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (2002-2004), a Regular Member of the Board of Directors of the 1st Regional Health System of Attica (2002-2004), Head of the Human Resources Management Department at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center (2002-2006), and Administrative Director at Mitera-Hygeia Group (2006-2007). From 2007 to 2010, he was the CEO of Planning and Development and head of the Project Team for the Sustainability of the Health Fund for National Bank of Greece Personnel (TYPET). From May 2010 to December 2011, he was President of the Public Sector Insurance Organization (OPAD), and from May 2011 to September 2012, Vice President of the National Organization for Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY). He is a member of the National Ethics Committee for Clinical Studies and the Coordinating Committee for Rare Diseases. His writing includes 22 books and more than 150 articles in collective volumes and peer-reviewed scientific journals, covering fields such as health policy and economics, the organization and management of health services, health inequalities, patient empowerment, and more. He has participated as a speaker in over 300 scientific conferences and is a member of editorial boards and a reviewer for numerous international scientific journals.
