Marios Pontikas

Marios Pontikas was born in Mytilene in 1942. He is a graduate of Varvakeio and studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He worked in advertising as a Creative Director and copywriter. He has adapted texts from Greek prose for television. He has written plays that have been performed with great success on almost all major stages in Greece, as well as in many university, semi-state, and amateur theaters. He has published two collections of prose works. He has been a member of the Greek Screenwriters Guild since 2005.
