Ioannis Agaliotis

Ioannis Agaliotis is an Assistant Professor of Teaching Methodology for Individuals with Special Needs at the Department of Educational and Social Policy at the University of Macedonia. He studied in Greece and the UK and has served in both general and special education units as a teacher and School Counselor. He teaches in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of his department, as well as at the Teacher Training School of the Faculty of Primary Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki "D. Glinos," at the Regional Training Centers of Thessaloniki, and in training programs of the Ministry of Education. He is the scientific editor of the American journal Insights on Learning Disabilities: From Prevailing Theories to Validated Practices, published by Learning Disabilities Worldwide (Boston, USA). He is also a reviewer for journals such as the International Journal of Learning and Reading Difficulties. His articles on issues of special learning difficulties, assessment and teaching of children with special educational needs, and inclusive education of children with and without learning and adaptation difficulties have been published in Greek and international journals.
