
Vissaria Zormpa - Rammopoulou
Vissaria Zorba-Rammopoulou was born in Agrinio, where she currently resides with her family. She studied philology in Athens, archaeology in Ioannina, and furthered her education at the Department of Education at the University of Ioannina and the University of Patras. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Department of Education at the University of Patras and works as a philologist at the Music School of Agrinio. She has written several children's books, many of which have been recognized and awarded in national competitions. Her short story "The Interview" received an award at the National Short Story Competition "A. Samarakis" in 2000. For her work in children's theater, she received a Commendation from the Women's Literary Society in 2003 for her play "NINIAN: The Adventures of a Happy Dwarf Who Became an Unhappy Giant" (first performed on December 15, 2004, by the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Ioannina, directed by Louiza-Maria Papadopoulou), a State Award from the Ministry of Culture in 2004 for her play "Ivan... the Tender," and the Children's Book Circle Award in 2010 for her book "The Hidden Toy Factory."
