
Rena Petropoulou
Rena Petropoulou-Kountouri was born in Heraklion, Crete, where she continues to reside with her husband and two daughters. She excelled at the "Veloudaki" school and pursued postgraduate studies in fashion design at the "Esmonde" stylist school in Paris. Upon returning to Greece, she worked as a fashion design instructor. She speaks English, German, French, and Italian and has been active in the hotel industry. Simultaneously, she engaged in painting and jewelry design. Her poems are published in a local newspaper in Heraklion. In June 2001, she presented the work "The Disappearing Professions" for the children's stage at the Heraklion elementary school. In 2001, she hosted a weekly literature program on the "Crete TV" channel. In addition to poetry collections, she has written novels, short stories, articles, book reviews, children's books, and children's theater.
