Stefanos Dandolos

Stefanos Dandolos was born in 1970 in Athens. Twenty-six years later, his first novel, "Sleepwalkers of September" (2nd ed., Patakis Publishers, 2001), was published. This was followed by the novels "The Mockery of Saints" (1997), "And They Put Handcuffs on the Birds" (2000), the short story collection "Love in Two Drops of Dream" (1999), and the novels "Narcissists and Cannibals" (2002), "Nero" (2004), "The Boy on the Platform" (2007), "The Last Swan" (2009), and "The Devil's Dancer" (2013). His short stories have been included in anthologies and literary reviews abroad, and in 2008 he represented Greece at the Young Writers’ World Festival held in Seoul. In 2004, he was described by Pavlos Matesis as the most important Greek author of his generation, and in 2009 he was awarded the Botsis Prize for his entire body of prose work, in the presence of the President of the Republic. He also served as the director of the newspaper "Vradyni."
