Miltiadis M. Papanikolaou

Miltiadis Papanikolaou studied Modern Greek Philology and Archaeology at the School of Philosophy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). With a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), he continued his studies in Art History at the University of Munich. He was a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and has focused on Greek and European art of the 19th and 20th centuries. He has organized numerous exhibitions. He is a professor of Art History at the School of Philosophy of A.U.Th. and the director of the State Museum of Contemporary Art.
