Katerina Kostiou

Katerina Kostiou is a professor in the Department of Philology at the University of Patras, where she has been serving since 1997. Her research interests include the poetics of subversion (irony, satire, parody, humor), modern Greek literature from the 19th century to the present, European poetry, poetry translation, and the identity of literary characters. She has published numerous studies in journals and collective volumes, and since 1992, she has edited twelve volumes of the prose and poetic works of Yiannis Skarimbas for Nefeli Publications. Over the past decade, she has been systematically engaged with the works of Cavafy and contemporary literature, while also attempting, in vain, to "settle her accounts" with Skarimbas.
