Nikolaos A. E. Kalospyros
Nikolaos A. E. Kalospyros was born in Athens in 1967. He studied at the Department of Classical Philology at the University of Athens. He holds a Master's and a Doctorate in Classical Philology. In recent years, he has been teaching at the Department of Methodology, History, and Theory of Science (M.I.TH.E.) at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His academic interests and publications include the history of classical philological science in modern Greece and Europe, the theory and philosophy of text criticism and editing, Adamantios Korais as a critical philologist, ancient medicine (Hippocrates), Greco-Jewish literature (translation of the Septuagint, Philo of Alexandria), ancient literary theory, the stylistics and classical studies of Alexandros Papadiamantis.
