Kyriakos D. Kentrotis

Kyriakos Kentrotis is a Professor specializing in "EU External Relations" at the Department of Balkan, Slavic & Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia. He was born in 1962 in Molai, Laconia. He studied Political Science at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies at the Universities of Kaiserslautern and Saarland/Saarbrücken in the fields of International Law, International Relations, and Political Science. In 1990, he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Kaiserslautern. From 1992 to 1999, he worked as a research scientist at the Institute for Balkan Studies (IMXA). From 1996 to 1999, he taught at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting at the Ionian University. From 2000, as an assistant professor, he taught at the same department at the Ionian University, covering subjects such as "International Law-International Relations," "Diplomatic History," and "Economic - Political - Legal Translation from German to Greek." From 2007 to 2013, he served as an Associate Professor at the Department of Balkan Studies (Florina) at the University of Western Macedonia and was the director of the Postgraduate Program "Economic and Political Governance in Southeast Europe." His books, studies, and articles have been published in Greece and abroad.
