Giorgos Kallinis

George Kallinis was born in Thessaloniki in 1961. He studied philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he completed his master's thesis and doctoral dissertation. He taught Modern Greek Language as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge. He is a professor at the Experimental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (P.S.P.Th.). He has published articles on Kosmas Politis, Ioannis Kondylakis, Pantelis Prevelakis, the "Erotokritos" by V. Kornaros, and on cinema. He has edited the reissue of Kosmas Politis's play "Constantine the Great" (Hermes, 1999) and has published the book "The Modernism of a Cosmopolitan: Elements and Techniques of Modernism in the Interwar Novel of Kosmas Politis" (University Studio Press).
