Pantelis Vasmatzidis

Pantelis Vasmatzidis was born in Thessaloniki. After graduating from the Experimental School of the University of Thessaloniki and the Military Medical School, he specialized in Psychiatry and further trained in London in Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy, marital therapy, and the treatment of sexual disorders. He served for two years as Greece's representative in the NATO Psychiatric Working Group, was a member of the committee for conscientious objectors, and taught at the Hellenic Military Academy. In 1997, he participated in a three-member team researching the extent of the drug problem in the military. In 1999, he published the book "The Psychopathology of Military Life: A Timeless and Holistic Approach." Today, he is the director of the Psychiatric Clinic at the Military Hospital of Penteli.
