Kaye Umansky

Kay Umansky was born in Plymouth, Devon. As a child, her favorite books were the Just William series by Richard Crompton, Alice in Wonderland, The Hobbit, and The Swish of the Curtain series by Pamela Brown. She graduated from a Teacher Training College and taught music and drama in London primary schools for twelve years. In her spare time, she sang and played keyboards in a semi-professional soul band. Today, she is a full-time author, as full-time as one can be between trips to Sainsbury's and taking care of her husband (Mo), her daughter (Ella), and her cats (Charlie and Alfie).
