Philip Pullman

Philip Pullman was born in England in 1946. He currently lives in a house with a large garden in Oxford and truly enjoys what he does: writing. Pullman has authored numerous books for both children and adults, including "Lila and the Secret of Rain" (Smarties Prize), "The Clockwork Knight" (nominated for the Carnegie Medal and the Smarties Prize), "Count Karlstein" and "The Firework-Maker's Daughter." Additionally, Philip Pullman is the author of the renowned "His Dark Materials" trilogy, which includes the books "Northern Lights" (published as "The Golden Compass" in North America), "The Subtle Knife," and "The Amber Spyglass." These works have won the hearts of readers, received significant awards (such as the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize, the Carnegie Medal, and others), and have begun to be adapted for the screen. In 2005, he was honored with the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for his contributions to children's literature.
