Dimitris Dellis

Dimitris Dellis was born on the Island of Ioannina Lake in 1947. After graduating from elementary school, he worked successively as a fisherman and a G.O. (Gentil Organisateur) at Club Mediterranee in Corfu, the Aegean, and Leysin, Switzerland. In 1969, he moved to Paris, where he worked as an actor and writer in café-theaters and as a travel organizer in Egypt, Morocco, the Middle East, and Afghanistan. In 1977, he founded the travel agency Grecorama, which became renowned for its thematic historical cruises inspired by Greek history and mythology (Iliad, Odyssey, Argonaut Expedition, Nine Nights with the Muses, Herodotus' Tours). In 1984, he established the Greek Agora in Paris, which was involved in organizing exhibitions of Greek visual artists, presenting books by ancient authors, and promoting Greek culture. Since 1998, having completely renounced material pursuits, he has lived a solitary life in his birthplace, Nisos, where he focuses on writing. In 2000, his first book, "The Gods of Olympus Exist," was published by the same publishing house.
