
Dimitris Gaitanis
Born in Athens, the author studied at the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens, where he also completed his postgraduate studies. Since 1995, he has been systematically engaged in the study of the history and culture of Ukraine. He has traveled to most regions of the country, conducting research and gathering informational material on the history, customs, and lifestyle of the Ukrainian people. His various articles on Ukrainian topics have been published in several Greek magazines, while many of his studies remain unpublished. In all these works, he strives to highlight the magnificent national, religious, and cultural ties between Greece and Ukraine. His doctoral dissertation focuses on the education of Greeks in Ukraine and the educational structures from the 16th to the 19th century. In addition to history, he is also interested in the contemporary reality of Ukraine and the various social issues that concern its people.
