The American author Steven Pressfield is known for his highly successful historical novels, including "Gates of Fire," "Tides of War," "The Last of the Amazons," "The Virtues of War," "The Afghan Campaign," and "Killing Rommel." He has also written novels such as "The Profession," "The 36 Righteous Men," and the literary essay "The War of Art." His works are published by Patakis Publishers. His first book, "The Legend of Bagger Vance," a mystery novel centered around a famous golf match in May 1931 in Georgia, was adapted into a major motion picture by Robert Redford in 2000. He resides in Malibu, California.
