
Giorgos Mylonas
George Mylonas was born in the village of Alonia in the Pieria region and studied film and theater in Greece and France. Five of his plays have been successfully staged in major theaters in Athens. Since 1972, he has worked as a director and screenwriter. In Greek cinema, he directed 30 films and wrote 70 scripts, with several of his films gaining significant acclaim from audiences. In the television industry, he wrote and directed twelve highly successful series. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Greek Playwrights from 1987 to 1990 and as the general secretary of the Society of Greek Directors from 1996 to 1999. Since 1999, he has been the president of the Directors-Screenwriters Intellectual Property Organization. Since 1994, he has been a professor of Directing at AKTO schools.
