Kalliopi Kyrdi
Kalliopi Kyrdi was born and raised in Athens. She is an educator in primary education. She studied law and pedagogy at the University of Athens. Since 2007, she has been responsible for cultural affairs at the First Directorate of Primary Education in Athens. She was a member of the writing teams for the first-grade language textbook and the books for teaching the Greek language in minority schools in Thrace. She has participated in teams designing programs with an intercultural character. Since 1979, she has been involved in museum education and the production of educational materials. She has collaborated with the Department of Educational Programs of the Ministry of Culture, the Museum of Modern Ceramics, the Hellenic Maritime Museum, the Museum of the History of the University of Athens, the Children's Museum, the National Book Centre of Greece, and other institutions. As a trainer, she has presented topics on intercultural education, early writing and reading, language production in schools, family literacy, designing cultural activities and routes, museum education, promoting reading, and creative writing with children. She has written four children's books and published articles on her scientific interests.
