THanasis Giouras

Thanasis Giouras is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Crete. He has published the studies "Taxation and Politics," Sakis Karagiorgas Foundation, 2000, "Geschichte und Kritik. Zum Verhaltnis von okonomischem Historismus und historischem Materialismus" (Frankfurt am Main, 2003), as well as articles on topics of classical social and political theory. From the works of Max Weber, he has translated: "Ethnic Relations and Political Communities," Kentavros, 1997, "Sociology of the Economy," Kentavros, 2000, "Types of Authority," Kentavros, 2001, "Theory of Religious Anticosmism," Savvalas, 2002, and "The City," Kentavros, 2003. He has also translated texts by Kant, Hegel, Schmoller, Schumpeter, Block, and Weber.
