Anastasios Tsagalidis

Anastasios Tsangalidis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the School of English Language and Literature, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He studied English Philology and Linguistics at the Universities of Thessaloniki, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Cambridge. He holds an MPhil in Linguistics from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD from the School of English Language and Literature at AUTH. He worked at the Centre for the Greek Language (March 1999 - December 2000) and subsequently as a faculty member in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Ioannina (January 2001 - March 2006). He teaches courses in general linguistics, syntax, and semantics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His main research interests lie in the areas of syntactic and semantic description, as well as the role of grammar in language teaching. He has participated in relevant research projects and has published books and studies in journals and conference proceedings.
