Alexandros G. Tsagarellis

Alexandros G. Tsangarellis was born in Mytilene to parents who were refugees from Asia Minor, specifically from Ayvalik. He grew up there and later moved to Athens to study at the School of Philosophy at the University. He worked in private education (tutoring centers) for about twenty years, while also having a significant career with Olympic Airways, traveling around the world as a representative at relevant international conferences. His first foray into literature occurred while he was still a student, with short stories published in the local press of Mytilene. However, he made his nationwide debut with his first novel, "Drops on the Stone," which was released much later, in 2001, after his retirement. His short stories and poems have been published in various magazines over time. Additionally, he has been honored with the First Prize in a National Poetry Competition.
