Joe Haldeman

Joe Haldeman has been honored multiple times with the Hugo and Nebula awards and is considered one of the classic science fiction authors. He was born in 1943 in the USA and holds a degree in astronomy from the University of Maryland. A Vietnam veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart, he incorporated his experiences into "The Forever War," his debut novel that captivated both audiences and critics, winning the Hugo and Nebula awards in the same year. Since then, he has continued to offer us a long series of award-winning science fiction works, such as "Forever Peace," "Forever Free," "Camouflage," "Marsbound," and others. At sixty-seven years old, he continues to write, and as a professor of creative writing at MIT, he is considered a mentor to many contemporary science fiction authors.
