Gregory Benford

Gregory Benford was born in Alabama in 1941. He is a professor of physics at the University of California, Irvine, and has served as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge. He has been honored with the Lord Foundation Award for his scientific work. Alongside his academic and research activities, which focus primarily on plasma physics and astrophysics, he has also engaged in literature, particularly specializing in science fiction.
