
Jonathan Stroud
Jonathan Stroud was born in Bedford and grew up in St Albans. He studied at the University of York and worked as an editor at Walker Books. In May 1999, Stroud made a strong entry into the children's book scene with his first book, "Buried Fire." The rights to the "Bartimaeus Trilogy" have been sold in many countries around the world and to the major film company Miramax.
