Ilias Papagiannopoulos
Ilias Papagiannopoulos was born in Athens in 1970. From 1990 and for fourteen years, his journey from Greece to Central Europe and back again not only became the essential backdrop of his life but also defined the field of a fundamental intellectual endeavor. He studied philosophy and ancient history at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. His doctoral dissertation, completed there, was published in a revised form by Indiktos Publications in 2000, under the title "Theater Exit - An Essay on Ontology Guided by Herman Melville's Moby-Dick." From 1996 to 2003, he taught in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Innsbruck. Simultaneously, as a research associate at the Academy of Athens for three years, he developed the first version of the text "Beyond Absence." Since 2004, he has been teaching political philosophy and the history of ideas in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Panteion University. Finally, he is a member of the editorial team of Indiktos magazine.
