Kiki Segditsa

Kiki Segditsa was born in Lamia but lives in Athens. She has worked for newspapers such as Apogevmatini, Akropolis, Athinaiki, Proodeftiki, Express, Mesimvrini, among others. She has also contributed to magazines like Proto, Tachydromos, Ereuna, Epikaira, Romantzo, Pantheon, Vendetta, Tilerama, Kynigi, and children's magazines Aliki and Manina. Additionally, she has worked in radio and television—both public and private—as an arts editor, film critic, freelance reporter, financial editor, art critic, and book critic. She has been involved in various TV and radio programs (ERT Radio/TV and YENED) such as "Still Young," "Autumn Youth," among others, and has adapted theatrical plays. For years, she hosted programs like "Poetic Anthology," "Traveling at Night," "Autumn Youth," "Film Criticism," and more. She also worked as a freelance reporter covering artistic, scientific, and political news and participated in the program "Close to the Events." She worked on the "Morning Coffee" show on ANTENNA and collaborated with Fotini Pipili on artistic and freelance reporting. She served in the public relations department of the Ministry of Culture and Sciences and participated in UNESCO's efforts to preserve the Acropolis. She taught communication at M. Tragas' drama school. She was an advisor to the Minister of Public Works, Nikolaos Zardinidis. She wrote the first Greek TV series "The House with the Phoenix" and "Stisichorou 73," which aired on YENED, as well as mini-series like "Love Stories," among others. She has published numerous poetry collections, novels, and has written plays and film scripts that have been produced. Additionally, records featuring her songs, composed by Lykourgos Markeas, Elektra Papakosta, N. Zacha, Andreas Oikonomou, L. Machairitsas, N. Ignatiadis, and Zak Iakovidis, have been released. She has given numerous lectures and organized many literary events. She has received special awards and honors: 1. New York Literary Society. 2. Golden Phoenix of Union et Maintien (France). 3. Dutch First-Class Medal of Letters and Arts from Nederlands Lagreaat Van de Arbeid. 4. Honorary citizen—with diploma—of Courbevoie, Paris. 5. UN Community Development Society. 6. Screenwriting Award at the World Congress. 9. ESIEA Award for contribution to journalism. 10. First prize for lyrics at the 31st Thessaloniki Song Festival in 1992. 11.
