Alexandros S. Ardavanis

Alexandros Ardavanis was born in 1956 in Athens, with Kefalonia as his quasi-place of origin. He studied Medicine in Thessaloniki and, after the typical journey of young doctors through the provinces, he settled in Athens. He practices Oncology in Athens. He is a doctor in a Public Hospital during an era dominated by the Market Society. He experiences an abundance of existential anxiety, perhaps because he found himself on the "good side," without the suffocating pressure of making a living. He has published four poetry collections and three collections of short prose.
