Maro Filippou

Maro Sotiropoulou - Filippou was born in Egypt. She studied music in Alexandria and Athens. A graduate of the National Conservatory of Athens, she taught piano and music theory for many years. She also engaged in early childhood music education, organized music listening sessions, and numerous student concerts with specific themes. She began her writing career in the 1950s, contributing articles on literary and cultural topics to Greek and French newspapers and magazines in Alexandria and Athens. Since 1990, she has focused exclusively on text editing and translation. She has translated children's books, novels, essays, a music dictionary, and more.
