Jacqueline Wilson
Jacqueline Wilson was born in Bath, Somerset, in 1945. She worked at a publishing house and then spent two years as a journalist before pursuing a highly successful career in writing. She has authored numerous children's books, a series of detective novels, and several plays that have been broadcast on the radio. Jacqueline Wilson loves reading, and her personal library contains over 15,000 books! Her book "The Illustrated Mum" was awarded the Children's Book of the Year Award in 1999 and the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize in 2000, and it was nominated for the Carnegie Medal and the Blue Peter Book Award. Published by Psichogios Publications are: "Bad Girls," "Double Act," which won the Smarties Prize in 1995 and the Children's Book Award in 1995, and was nominated for the Carnegie Medal and other significant awards, among many other books.
