Zachos Vasileiou

Zachos Vasileiou was born in Chalkida in 1956. Since 1960, he has been residing permanently in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the historic Aglaias Schina Educational Institutions and subsequently from the 5th Boys' High School of Thessaloniki. He studied Medicine at the Universities of Florence, Siena, and Thessaloniki, specializing in General Surgery. He is a member of the Thessaloniki Medical Association and several other medical societies. From a young age, he has been involved in literature and painting. He has published two books: "The Bench," a theatrical monologue, and "The Next Door," a collection of short stories. His short stories, chronicles, and poems have been published in newspapers and magazines. He is a member of the editorial team of the magazine "Medical Topics" of the Thessaloniki Medical Association. In November 2009, his play "Why Grandpa?" was staged at the "Politeia Theatre" in Thessaloniki, directed by Maria Baltatzi.
