Agelos Rigopoulos

Angelos (Evangelos) Rigopoulos was born in Athens in 1939. He hails from Zygovisti, Arcadia, and lived in various cities across the Peloponnese until he completed his secondary education. He studied at two faculties of the University of Athens, excelled in the State Scholarship Foundation exams for postgraduate studies, specialized in Maxillofacial Surgery, and was awarded a doctorate from the University of Athens. He furthered his training in Germany and served for a decade at the Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic of the University of Athens, from which he resigned to preserve his dignity and the Principles and Values he set as the guide for his life. He was a regular member of the Hellenic Society of Maxillofacial Surgery and the Stomatological Society of Greece. Additionally, he is a member of the Union of Greek Writers and the Society of Greek Physician Writers. Beyond his scientific work and collaborations with various literary and non-literary magazines and newspapers, he has published six novels and two short story collections, one of which has been awarded by the Society of Greek Physician Writers.
