Stelios Marinis

Stelios Marinis studied Mathematics and Music. He worked as an educator in both public and private education. He has published dozens of articles and studies in print and online media, and has authored several mathematics study guides, as well as articles and a resource for the Greek Language course under the pseudonym Marios Sofos. "Stories of the Blackboard" (Savvalas) and "Woman, I Love You, Woman, I Fear You" (Kochlias) were his first literary attempts. The social fairy tale "O Tikalakis" (Stratis) was his first mature literary work. Its adaptation into a musical of the same name was staged by the orchestra and theater group of the Music School of Piraeus at the OLYMPIA theater. In 2010, together with Katerina Triantafyllou, he published the psychological novel "In Front of the Psychologist". Since his retirement in 2015, he has mainly focused on music and social action at the Nea Smyrni Workers’ Club. At the same time, he began the research and subsequently the writing of the book "The Adventures of Mathematical Words in the Greek Language".
