
Dimosthenis Papamarkos
Demosthenes Papamarkos was born in Malesina, Locris, in 1983. He has published the novels "The Brotherhood of Silicon," Armos 1998 (Youth Ikaromenippos Award), "The Fourth Horseman," Kedros 2001, and the short story collections "MetaPoetry," Kedros 2012, and "Giak," Antipodes 2014 (Petros Haris Foundation Award of the Academy of Athens and Short Story/Novella Award from the magazine www.oanagnostis.gr, 2015). He is a PhD candidate in Ancient Greek History at the University of Oxford. In March 2015, he was a guest author on the NERIT program "Books in the Box," following the success of his book "Giak." His short stories and poems have been translated into English (anthology "Austerity Measures," Penguin, 2016), French, and Russian.
